Various carvings in different types of recycled wood.
Spoons, sculptures, modules, cuttingboards, bowls.

A lot of trees are cut down every day for different kinds of reasons, not always to be used for something, but to be burnt or to follow regulations on amounts of trees there can be on a field.
I collect this wood and make stuff out of it.

Carving in freshly cut wood is a very special experience as it releases a lot of energy and scents. A mutual respect is built between me and the wood during this process as we work together to change its original shape.
I often start with an idea of what I want to do but if the wood wants different, it will be different. I’m forced to follow what the wood wants, working with its faults and flaws, and therefore no objects will ever look the same.
